pcWRT firmware v2.8.8 Release Notes

Change password was broken in v2.8.7, so you want to update to this version if you’re on v2.8.7. This release supersedes v2.8.7, which means if you rollback to a previous version after updating, you’ll rollback to v2.8.6.

Updates in this release:

1. Bug fix: change password was broken in v2.8.7
2. Improvement on ad-block list downloading
3. Add Vendor ID and Client ID options to DHCP Internet connection

Upgrade steps:

1. Have your configuration backup ready. Create a backup file for your current configuration, if you don’t have one.
2. Click the “Check for Updates” button in the System Settings page. Follow the instructions to upgrade.
3. After successful upgrade, create a new router settings backup file from the System Settings page and save it in a safe place.
