DNS question on Satellite Mesh Node

I have two AX1800s in a mesh. Where do I need to go to change the DNS server IP that the satellite node picks up? Under Status -> Internet, the DNS server is the same IP as the gateway, but I actually want it to be the IP of my Pi-hole. Is this default behavior with the expectation that the Main Node will forward DNS traffic to the DNS servers it has configured?

I assume the setting is coming from the Main Node AX1800, but I don’t see anywhere to configure the DNS server on that unit. It has picked up my ISP DNS servers, but that is not my preference.

    Thanks!

All DNS traffic will be sent to the main node. The satellite node also sends DNS to the main node.

To use your pi-hole, you need to change the DNS on the main node. If you enabled Access Control, then the DNS settings specified in the profiles is used. Unless DNS is set to “System Default”, then system level DNS is used (i.e., DNS under the Internet Settings page).

If Access Control is not enabled, the DNS defined in the Internet Settings page is used. By default, it’s your ISP DNS servers. You can override that by checking the “Use custom DNS servers” box and entering your own IP addresses.

I looked everywhere but didn’t notice that custom DNS checkbox on the Internet Settings page. Thank you!
