    Solved
I found another setting that determines mac randomazation after a specific ssid is connected. For home network on linux set for that ssid 802-11-wireless.cloned-mac-address to permanent, that solves the problem while still in scanning phase randomazations occurs.

Laptop (linux) uses wifi device with setting randomization during scanning is yes. That should not be changed as in public spaces you definitely want this.
Connecting in home network the pcwrt sees during scanning phase a randomized MC adress and concludes it is a new device, and assigns some IP. That is not want should happen as this laptop should get the pre-configured “static lease” IP.
On the laptop side this can not be solved, so it should be solved imho in pcwrt. Pcwrt should recognize scanning phase and onlt thereafter assign IP.

    Firmware files
I always want to be able to revert to the previous firmware when updating. Nowadays I can only update firmware online (downlaod page is not up to date), and I want the firmware file first on my computer. So that in case of problems I can manually revert.

Maybe can you add a function to downl;oad the firmware from the router to my computer, that enables me to revert

    Thanks for the message.

I had VLAN “LAN” and VLAN “X1”. The firmware upgrade was done on a computer in LAN. Do not think it is a VLAN problem.

By resetting the router with the reset button (pinhole) in the router, I came in an “intital setup screen” but still firmware 2.8.6. From there I could re-enter and validate all settings among others my VLAN config, but it took a while.

It would be beneficial if the firmware is available on the downloads page.

    Hi Flixplusmax
Was the problem in the port numbering of the router as Support asked ?

Thanks for the quick fix, this gives confidence.

BTW where can I find the previous firmware images in case I’ve to roll back ?
