On your android, download this app:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dns.hosts.server.change

set a dns of your choice and create a VPN.

With “Proxy,VPN,TOR” and “Literal IP Addresses” disabled, pcwrt can’t establish a connection.

Try: Just send a simple whatsapp message and you will se that pcwrt can’t send it, or, sometimes, will send it after 15, 20 minutes.

With the data mobile, i have no problem. I tested it on Android 9.

Nope, i wrote that it works with a third app, but it doesn’t work with the “Private DNS” on Android 9, 10 and so on…

Like i written in the first post, try it yourself.

This is completally another thing, look here:

I never understood this: If the domain is a literal ip address, why the reson is “Proxy/VPN”?

I have a VPN on my android smarphone, and if I want it to work i must disable in the access control “Proxy/VPN”, but, at the same time, i have to disable “Literal IP addresses” too, but the reason of the block is only “Proxy/VPN”.

I have noticed this behavior ever since I bought your router, on many other occasions, but now I want to understand the reason for this behavior.

I don’t have the knowledge to understand this, or it can be a bug?

Add forced IP address blocking syntax for black list: 192.168.100.1! With forced IP address block, black list not only blocks access when the IP address is used, but also when a domain name is used and that domain name resolves to the blocked IP address.

It will be very, VERY useless if the same thing is done to the white list too! In this way, when i check “Literal IP Addresses” and i put “whatsapp.net” in the white list, all the IP addresses associated to it will be white listed too. It would be wonderful.

    Can you do it?

I have the parental control settings configured with the block proxy/VPN/Tor box checked. It seems that no longer blocks the Tor Browser unless it is using the default obfs4 bridge. When you change to any of the other bridges, the Tor Browser is not blocked by the router. Essentially, it makes this setting pretty useless right now. Let me know how to resolve this. Thanks!

Can you explain me this? Is this a bug resolved in the newest updates? Thanks.

Not File sharing, i’m not using them. Can you say me a way for to know the “source” of these ip calls? What program is causing all this? And especially, why?

In your opinion, will pcwrt ever support ALG? pcWRT and VoIP are enemies.

    It’s just a javascript code:

    javascript:(function(){var a=window,b=document,c=a.location.href,f=’k9AddSiteToBlacklist’,g=’http://127.0.0.1:2372′;if(a[f]){a[f](c,g);}else{var d=b.createElement(‘SCRIPT’);d.type=’text/javascript’;d.src=g+’/k9.js’;var e=function(){a[f](c,g);};d.onreadystatechange=function(){this.readyState==’complete’&&e();};d.onload=e;b.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(d);}})()

    Please, add this wonderful feature.

The problem has been solved with this:
    http://www.grandstream.com/products/gateways-and-atas/analog-telephone-adaptors/product/ht802

in this way i can have the TP-Link in Bridge Mode too.

The configuration was very, very difficult, I had to contact the Grandstream official support and 3 other telecommunications experts to make it works.

After the configuration it worked with the tp-link, but not with the pcWRT. pcWRT does not have ALG functionality.

The ONLY way to make it works with the pcwrt was through the STUN server, but not all ATA support it. So you need to buy an ATA that support it.

So, at the end, pcWRT does not support SIP ALG, or it doesn’t manage it very well?
